Every study since the 1950’s has found 10-15% of children have scoliosis. It can worsen during growing years especially. I’ve seen it triple in size during the teen years when left untreated. Then the curve can dramatically worsen after age 65 as well, leading to deformity that cannot be reversed.
Without proper treatment, you will have a variety of back, neck, arm and leg pains and conditions as you age. Nerves pass between the bones of the back (vertebrae), and when they are twisted, as in scoliosis, this nerve pressure through years and decades of life, alter the functions of the muscles, organs, and other tissues they go to.
It is reported that the person with scoliosis has a average 7 year shorter lifespan. Scoliosis does not kill, but the nerve pressure created by the abnormal curves impact the function, maintenance and repair of the body’s organs, joints, and tissues. When organs like the heart, lungs, digestive organs or liver fail prematurely, this shortens your life. People with long standing scoliosis also usually develop shoulder, wrist, knee, hip or foot conditions at a much more frequent rate than the rest of the population. Females with scoliosis often have more difficulty in childbirth.
Traditional medical care adopt a “wait and see” position and take xrays every 6 months until the curve is bad enough for a brace. If the brace doesn’t stop the curve, then surgery is their next step.

We have had wonderful reductions in curves! Many patients have between a 60 - 95% improvement of scoliosis with Dr. Forbess’s scoliosis care program. With one exception, all patients seen so far who had scoliosis care has had at least a 30% improvement. There are NO braces and NO surgery. Just good results!
Ever since Dr. Forbess went in for additional training to learn the newer cutting edge techniques to help adults in 2006-2007, he has been working with ALL ages. The youngest treated so far was 4 years old, the oldest was a 77 year old woman. The 4 year old had 100% success. The 77 year old went from a 23 degree curve to seven degrees in a short time.
Dr. Forbess’s own daughter had a scoliosis that he successfully helped. She had a 25 degree scoliosis reduced to less than 10 degrees (so far).
